Building improvements and retail capacity
Expand and renovate your buildings with 25 permanent improvements. Store size now sets the number of checkouts a shop can serve.
Choose Upgrade beside the building's name to see its improvements, material requirements, and construction time. Options include storage rooms, larger sales floors, extra checkouts, parking, storefront and interior renovations, production layouts, service areas, logistics facilities, and office expansions.
Starting an upgrade moves the business into Pending projects and pauses its operations. Supply the materials and hire a builder through the usual construction flow. When work finishes, the same business reopens with its permanent improvement. Staff, stock, leases, and installed equipment stay with the business. You can cancel before construction begins.
Retail stores now share a checkout limit across all their products. Larger sales floors can serve more customers, and floor or checkout upgrades raise that limit. Parking and storefront improvements attract visitors; interior improvements help turn visits into purchases. Demand labels still update with the world update.
