At-cost inventory transfers

Finance Logistics

New inventory transfers within a corporation count as sales at cost for the sending business, with zero profit and no sales tax.

When you move goods between your corporation's inventories, the receiving inventory keeps their recorded cost and adds shipping per item.

The sending business records revenue equal to the goods' recorded cost, with the same amount as cost of goods sold. The transfer earns zero profit, creates no goods payment or sales tax, and does not inflate corporation-wide revenue. Shipping is part of the receiving inventory's cost.

Cancelling a queued transfer cancels its sales entry and restores the original stock cost. Goods without a recorded cost can still move, but do not create an estimated sales entry.
