The air network now mirrors the real world
Every city with a real-life airport now has one in the game, sized to match — over 400 airfields, regional airports and international hubs opened worldwide.
Every city in the world has been checked against its real-life counterpart, and cities with a real airport now have one in the game:
- International cargo hubs at major gateway cities, with heavy freighter runways and the largest hangar capacity. - Regional cargo airports at mid-size cities served by scheduled jet freight in real life. - Remote cargo airfields at smaller cities with real airstrips, keeping light feeder freight within reach. - Existing airports that were undersized for their city were upgraded in place — bigger runways, more hangar space, and a topped-up system carrier fleet.
Each new airport opens with a system carrier fleet based there and a municipal jet fuel market, so air freight quotes are available immediately. Routes that previously fell back to long road hauls — or no route at all — can now fly.
