Public profiles for the world's cities
Every city where the economy has taken root now has an open profile page — no sign-in needed — with its population, the sectors operating there, and whether the municipality has land or office space on offer. Cities with too few businesses stay off the public index until they grow.
Anyone can now browse the cities of the world at /cities, in English, German and Portuguese, and open a profile for each one — for example `/cities/sydney-nsw-au`.
A city profile shows:
- Citizens — the city's population from the newest daily edition - Businesses operating — as a band, once the city has at least ten - Sectors present — which industries operate there, named but never counted - Player corporations — as a band, once at least ten operate in the city - For a new corporation — whether municipal land is on offer to rent or bid for, and whether office space is listed for lease - Geography — the city's natural features
Profiles are compiled once per game day. A city with fewer businesses than the publication floor still has a page, but it is kept brief and is not listed in the index or offered to search engines until the city grows. Nothing on a city page names a player or a company.
