See and object to tax changes before they land
Tax rates page now shows pending tax changes for the country you're looking at, with the objection window and the tally so far. If you're eligible to object, you can do it there.
A government cannot move a tax rate on a whim. Every change is proposed first, held open for three game days, and only applied if the electorate does not object past the bar.
Until now the only page that showed those proposals was the government page — and that page only ever shows mandates your own party holds. So in practice the objection window was visible to the government that filed the change, and to nobody else.
Tax rates now shows pending changes for the country you have selected, alongside the rates themselves:
- what the rate would move from and to
- the game day the objection window closes
- how many objections have been recorded, and how many are needed
- an object button, if you are eligible
Withdrawing a proposal is still a government power and only shows for the party that filed it.
