Foreign sourcing tells you what is wrong, and fixes one of it

Finance Logistics

Foreign sourcing now refuses a quote when the destination is too small, names the exact currency you are short of and by how much, and can buy that currency for you without leaving the page.

Three changes to Foreign sourcing, all about telling you what is wrong early enough to act on it.

- The quote button refuses a destination that cannot hold the order. It used to let you request a quote and only then report that the warehouse, site or building was too small. It now checks first — and it counts what matters: the space for that resource's storage category, and cargo already on its way there. - You are told which currency you are short of. A shipment pays each leg in the currency of the country it departs from, so one delivery can bill you in several currencies. "Not enough funds" now names each currency, what you hold, and what the order needs. - A Provision button next to each shortfall. It buys exactly that amount on the currency exchange — the same order you could place yourself on the FX page, without the trip. If nobody is selling, it says so plainly instead of failing quietly.

Provisioning always uses a price-limited order, so it can never spend more than the amount shown, and anything it cannot fill is cancelled and refunded straight away rather than left sitting on the market.
