Sea freight sails at fifteen percent, and waits up to two months for it
A national carrier's vessel now waits until at least 15% of its hull is loaded, for up to 60 game days, before it sails. Sea quotes promise that wait, so sea is the cheap, slow way to move bulk goods.
Sea freight is meant to be the cheap, slow way to move bulk goods, and it now behaves like one. A national carrier's vessel holds its departure until 15% of its hull is loaded, for up to 60 game days, then sails with what it has. Air freight keeps its own rule: a flight waits at most three pooling windows for the fares aboard to cover its fuel.
- The quote tells you. A sea leg whose lot fills less than 15% of the hull is quoted with the full two-month hold in its arrival time, so the cheapest route and the fastest route are honestly different choices. A lot that fills 15% or more is quoted on the ordinary pooling window. - The queue tells you too. The shipment's queue position shows the exact moment the carrier stops waiting. - Fuel deliveries are never held. Marine fuel and jet fuel for an airport's or seaport's own tank still sail on the ordinary rules. - Nothing changes for your own carrier. A player-owned vessel keeps the pooling policy its owner set.
