A purchase travels as one consignment

Logistics

Everything you buy at one exchange for one destination is now routed once, as a single consignment. The separate lots your order was filled from share that route and split its price by quantity, so a 0.49-unit tail no longer travels through different hubs than the rest.

A market buy is filled against several sellers' asks, and each fill is its own lot with its own custody. Freight used to be quoted per lot, so an order for 1,875 units of Silicon left New York as five lots via Detroit and Vladivostok and one 0.49-unit tail via Las Vegas and Tokyo.

- One route per consignment. Every lot bought at one exchange for one destination is quoted together, at the consignment's full weight, and travels the same way. - The price splits by quantity. Each lot carries its share of the consignment's freight, fuel and litres, so the total is what one shipment of that size would have cost. - The preview says the same. Awaiting stock and a new shortfall are previewed as one consignment with one route. - Unchanged: an explicit choice of several carriers still splits the order between them by their free van loads.
