Executives are back on the payroll
Executives hired from the candidate pool had gone unbilled since late July, although the headquarters screen showed their salaries. They are charged every game day again, and the daily payroll on the HQ screen is now exactly what payroll books.
Since 27 July, executives hired from the candidate pool were missing from the daily headquarters payroll. The HQ screen counted their salaries in Daily payroll, but only your line staff were actually charged — an executive team cost nothing while still raising HQ efficiency.
That is fixed. From now on:
- Executives are billed every game day, at the salary agreed when you hired them, in the same payroll payment as your line staff. If your corporation cannot cover the whole bill, the day counts as unpaid for everyone. - Payroll tax applies to the whole bill, executives included. - Executive pay is taxed like any wage. Personal income tax goes to the national treasury. An executive is not a citizen who shops and pays rent, so the rest of the salary leaves circulation. - Unpaid executives leave. After three unpaid game days in a row they return to the candidate pool with the rest of the team — also when executives are the only people on your HQ staff. - Daily payroll on the HQ screen is the amount you will be charged. It follows the real salaries of the people seated, personal raises included. Target payroll adds your open line-staff seats at their posted salary.
The Whole team raise applies to line staff only. Executives keep the salary agreed when they were hired.
Back pay. One corporation employed executives while they went unbilled. It has been charged for every one of those payroll days, wages and payroll tax, in a single back-pay payment.
