A governing party can change national or municipal tax rates up to 60% while in office. The rates remain in effect until a later government changes them. Country and city economy pages show the ruling party.
Winning an election gives the governing party control of that government's tax settings for the term.
- Tax rates. A government can set sales, payroll, property, corporate, production, and service taxes. National governments can also set personal income tax. Rates are capped at 60%. A governing party can change them only while in office; the current rates remain in effect until they are changed.
- Treasury and economy. Collections enter the relevant public treasury. Higher rates increase the charge on taxable activity and affect businesses and citizens in that jurisdiction.
- Public office. Country and city economy pages identify the ruling party.
