Construction materials stay on site
Materials delivered to a build are locked to the site once construction starts or a builder is hired. They free up when the build finishes; cancel a queued builder order to move them sooner.
Materials staged for a build now stay on its site while that build is committed. A build consumes what was delivered when it completes, so nothing can be moved or sold away from the site in the meantime.
- Under construction — the site holds its materials until the build completes. Whatever is left over afterwards is ordinary business stock again.
- Builder hired, work not yet started — cancel the order to release the materials.
- Still waiting for deliveries — a site you have not committed to keeps its materials movable, so a surplus can go back to a warehouse.
Closing or demolishing a site disposes of everything on it exactly as before.
