Orchards, sunflowers and the Vegetable Oil Mill
Build an Orchard to grow olives, apples or peaches, sow sunflowers on a Crop Farm, and press olive and sunflower oil at the Vegetable Oil Mill — the former Soybean Crush Plant.
Orchards. A new farm building. On its Production tab you choose the fruit — Olives, Apples or Peaches — and plant the trees. They grow for 20 game days before the first harvest; after that the orchard harvests its fruit every game day by itself. The city's climate matters, as it does for field crops: olives need mild winters, apples need cold ones.
Replant trees digs the trees up so you can choose a different fruit. Queued and running harvests are cancelled, and the new trees grow for another 20 game days.
Sunflowers. The Crop Farm can now sow Sunflower Seeds.
Vegetable Oil Mill. The Soybean Crush Plant is now the Vegetable Oil Mill. Existing mills keep running unchanged and gain two recipes: - Olive Oil, pressed from olives - Sunflower Oil, pressed from sunflower seeds
Sunflower seeds, olives, apples, peaches, olive oil and sunflower oil are sold by supermarkets, hypermarkets, department stores and small retail stores.
