Freight is no longer booked through ports that can't refuel

Logistics

Route quotes now leave out a flight or sailing from an airport or seaport that has been holding departures for lack of fuel and whose tank can't fuel even one more. Your cargo goes another way instead of waiting there; if there is no other way, the quote names the port.

Every flight and sailing draws the whole leg's fuel at once from the tank of the airport or seaport it leaves. Until now, quotes priced that fuel but never checked the tank, so cargo could be booked onto a flight from an airport that had already been holding departures for days, and wait there until the city restocked.

A quote now leaves out a flight or sailing from an airport or seaport when both are true:

  • a departure there has been held for lack of fuel for more than three game days, and
  • its tank holds less than even the smallest aircraft or vessel based there would burn on that leg.

Your shipment takes the next-best route instead, often by road or from a nearby airport. If every route runs through such a port, the quote names it so you can try again once it has refuelled. Cities' own fuel restocks are not affected.
